Director of Membership Job Description
Role Summary:
The Director of Membership leads and develops the team responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of a chapter membership plan that results in member retention and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sends welcome letters monthly, to each new member
- Sends reminder letters to members needing to renew, in the month their membership expires
- Communicates PMI and membership benefits in a compelling and articulate manner
- Solicit PMI members in the chapter’s area for their affiliation with the Central Mass Chapter
- Provide routine updates at the board meetings
- Manage all PMI HQ membership-related items
- Maintain the Chapter membership list via PMI DEP
- Interface with the public and chapter members regarding membership information
- Support board activities and programs that provide value to our members, as well as compel them to engage with us
Required Qualifications
- Current chapter member in good standing
- High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative
- Able to report status against the plan, regularly
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills
- Keen attention to detail as well as solid project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subject matter experts
