Director At Large Job Description

Role Summary:

Thedirector-at-large is elected from the membership and serves as a representative of the full membership. The duties of the director-at-large shall be flexible and shall address specific needs identified by the board of directors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively promotes and articulates the Mission and Vision of PMI CMASS
  • Attend and participate in all board of directors' meetings
  • Accept and perform special duties and tasks as assigned by the board
  • Provide support for ongoing initiatives of the board
  • Provides support to Officers and Directors as needed
  • Work with other Directors to increase value to our members, sponsors, and education partners
  • Identifies issues and advocates for the profession
  • Serves as a consultant to the Officers in the development of Operations and Strategic Plans
  • Support board activities and programs that provide value to our members, education providers, partners, and sponsors, as well as compel them to engage with us

Required Qualifications

  1. Current chapter member in good standing
  2. High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative
  3. Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  4. Able to report status against the plan, regularly

Desired Qualifications

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office
  2. Strong leadership and relationship management skills
  3. Keen attention to detail as well as solid project management skills
  4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subject matter experts
  5. Knowledgeable in content management software (preferred: Joomla, Google Docs), email marketing (preferred: Constant Contact) and/or social media software (preferred: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)

Est. Hrs/Month = 10 - 15 hours/month
