How to succeed as a PM Consultant (Amy Buttiglieri) Have you ever considered consulting? Maybe you've had contractors on your project and wonder why some of them work out...and some aren't quite what you expected! From interviewing to integrating with the team, there are a few key elements to becoming a successful project management consultant. This presentation shows you how to take advantage of your unique position to hit the ground running on each new project. What happens when your agile project is headed for a waterfall? (Mike Nollet) Join Mike for an interactive discussion about a scenario that will probably sound familiar to many of you! Mike will use a mini-case example to illustrate an example of an agile project for a sponsor that only understands waterfall project management. Speaker Bio's: Amy Buttiglieri is an active Project Management Consultant who specializes in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Defense industries. Amy is the founder of A Solid Launch Consulting, dedicated to improving the leadership and communication skills of today’s project managers through individual and small group coaching programs. Amy holds an MBA from Boston College, is a certified PMP, and has been a member of the PMI Central Massachusetts Chapter since 2015. Mike Nollet is a Product Line Manager at Dell Technologies. He manages projects, programs, budgets, and people in his current position in IT Operations, to make IT more responsive and more automated to meet changing business needs. Mike has managed new product development projects in industrial automation companies and IT. He is also a skilled Scrum Master and has enjoyed learning new practices and techniques that enable teams to do great work and to constantly improve their practices. Mike has taught Project Management at the graduate level for Boston University and Northeastern University and served clients in the Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, and Insurance industries as a consultant. Mike is a PMP, Certified Scrum Master, and has earned the PMI-ACP credential from PMI.
