Volunteer Opportunity: EARN PDU's! Veterans Inc. 20th Annual Stand Down

PMI CMASS is proud to coordinate a volunteer partnership with Veterans Inc.

You can find a list of our event volunteer needs below as well as a list of volunteer roles we are seeking to fill for our Stand Down event.

Below are some details regarding the types of roles or responsibilities the volunteers will have: Volunteer Shifts/Times: 7:00AM - 3:00PM; can be broken up into several shifts such as 7am-10am, 10am-1pm, and 1pm-3pm.

Operations Support7:00 AM - 3:00 PM ; morning and afternoon shifts encouraged

○ Setup / Breakdown
○ Tent placement
○ Security assistance; line monitoring, checking bracelets, guarding stanchioned areas, verifying tickets at food trucks

IT Support -- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

○ Assist with tech needs
○ Assist with Wi-Fi needs and setup

Welcome Tent Support7:00 AM - 3:00 PM; morning and afternoon shifts encouraged

○ Guides - help clients find resources/services
○ Wristbands - each client receives a wristband to enter the event
○ Ambassadors - explain "passports" which are booklets clients receive to encourage interactions with resource tables before entering Surplus area

Surplus Support7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

○ Hand out surplus bags to clients as they enter Drill Hall
○ Restocking surplus bags
○ Clean up/Breakdown

Marketing Team7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

○ Assist media with capturing photos or videos
○ Guiding media sponsors to designated areas
○ Other duties as assigned day of

Volunteer Tent7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

○ Assist Volunteer Coordinator with tasks assigned day of
○ Assist volunteers with roles and responsibilities
○ Support Employer/Provider tent
○ Cleanup/Breakdown

Food Services7:00 AM - 3:00 PM ; lunch anticipated for 12pm-2pm

○ Assist with serving meals to veterans/clients
○ Assist with delivering meals to employers/providers at tables
○ Help with setup of volunteer/staff lunch
○ Cleanup/Breakdown

Clothing Area7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

○ Assistant Shoppers
○ Men's section; monitoring and restocking clothing racks
○ Women's section; monitoring and restocking clothing racks
○ Cleanup/Breakdown

Kid's Area7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

○ Setup, support and monitor children's area
○ Obtain waivers, if applicable
○ Cleanup / Breakdown
