Agility has been used to help organizations become more nimble and quick to compete effectively in our complex world. These same complexities exist within the sustainability world. And so, what if, we can bring agility to sustainability? What are your thoughts on how this could be used in sustainability? What are the gaps that the Sustainability World is facing that we can help with? Sustainability is a wicked problem and includes social, economic and environmental challenges.
Joanne has been researching the world to find stories about how Agility has been used to work on wicked problems. These stories range from the Middle East to help with marginalization to Canada to help a local community government tackle a community's REAL challenge. The lessons and knowledge are deep; indeed, we can make a difference in a small and significant way. She has also spoken to many people in the sustainability world to see what they need.
Joanne will share stories from her journey and how she has used agility to tackle local challenges in her Sustainability Incubator Projects. These projects use a design thinking approach over a 2-3 month period to tackle a local community challenge.
The outcome, we hope, will inspire us to take action in Sustainability, using collaboration and the collective to chip away at our sustainability challenges and hopefully transform our world.
