In this hour long session we will begin by taking a look at the Principles of Project Management as defined in the PMBOK Guide Seventh Edition. These principles when used properly support effective project management and help project teams and stakeholders focus more on intended outcomes and not just on specific deliverables. We will then take a look at the first three Project Performance Domains of Stakeholders, Team and Development Approach & Lifecycle.
 
Our speaker for the evening, Cindy Hoyle, PMP, will use a case study of a project that first failed but was restructured and later succeeded to demonstrate the importance of applying good project management principals in these three domains.
 
 

Speaker Bio's:

Cindy Hoyle, PMP has been leading projects since the early 90s, first as an Implementation Consultant for ERP software in the process manufacturing industry then as an independent project management consultant leading projects in the instructional design and training arena and now currently as Director of Program Management for a Higher Education tech company. She received her PMP certification in 2015 and has been a member of the PMI Central Mass Chapter ever since.
