Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner (CS@SP)
Scrum has proven to be so effective that organizations once leveraging a waterfall-style project management approach have instead embraced "Agile." These organizations include the likes of: Gerber, Schlumberger, Bosch, 3M, Bloomberg, ABI, BP, J.P Morgan, SAAB, Toyota, Autodesk, Fidelity, Citizen's Bank, etc., etc. This list is long and is growing. Recently launched organization like One Peloton, Amazon, Google, etc., have little to no legacy involving traditional practices. Recent startups, joint ventures, etc., have no interest in traditional practices and some high-tech venture capital firms will only invest if an organization uses Scrum. Finally, the US DOD itself, through administrative law put into effect in 2010, requires tech-related programs to use Scrum.
Given this changing reality, PMI CMass is offering LSM and CS@SP certifications to its chapter members.
Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner – CS@SP (Moved to Fall 2020, Dates Forthcoming, from May 2 - May 3, 2020)
Through a combination of interactive exercises, you’ll get hands-on experience understanding how Scrum scales across an organization. Your instructor will share in-depth case studies from Scrum Inc. and his actual coaching experiences scaling Scrum in volunteer organizations, nonprofits, family businesses, startups, and Fortune 500 to Global 10 organizations, domestically and internationally. The training will provide you with the knowledge and the tools you’ll need to help put Scrum into practice teams across your organization.
In this 16 hour course, you will learn the Scrum@Scale framework within which networks of Scrum teams can address complex problems while creatively delivering products and services of the highest possible value. These "products" may be hardware, software, complex integrated systems, and services. Steve will touch on his experiences scaling organizations including medical devices, genetics, emergency medicine, oil & gas exploration, drilling, and transportation, legal, HR, manufacturing, material science, pure research, and so on.
Scrum@Scale enables the transformation of every division, department, and service in any organization and can efficiently coordinate an unlimited number of Scrum Teams through its use of "Scale-free" architecture. Scrum@Scale naturally extends the core Scrum Framework.
